Blood Donation Camps

The society organizes various blood donation camps at various places of District SAS Nagar so that the lives of injured patients be saved and there should not be a short supply in the government Hospitals in case of any emergency. During the financial year 2021-22, 3811units have been collected in the coordination with Blood Bank Team, PGI Chandigarh & Govt. Medical College Hospital, Sector-32, Chandigarh& as on 31.03.2022, the branch has collected ______ units.

Medical Check-Up Camps

The society organizes various medical check-up camps at various places i.e. villages & slum areas/Jhuggies of District SAS Nagar. During the financial year 2021-22, 2600 people were got check-up & medicine as required have been provided free of cost.

St. John First Aid and Home Nursing Training

The society imparts the first aid and home nursing training to the students of various Educational Institutions and youth of the district SAS Nagar. By taking training of first aid and home nursing one can save the lives of the persons injured in road accidents and in any emergency at home or at anywhere.During the financial year 2021-22, _____ candidates have been imparted first aid & home nursing training & as on 31.03.2022, the branch has imparted training to _______ candidates.

District Hospital Welfare Section

The Indian Red Cross Society, District Branch, SAS Nagar helps the needy and homeless peoples in the city. The Chairman and a Chairperson of the society along with the staff visits the various places during the nights of peak winter season and gave them blankets to the homeless peoples sleeping on footpaths, Railway Station, open parks and sleeping outside the Mandir and Gurudwaras. During festival days, the branch distributes fruits & food supplements to the needy & poor patients in Hospitals of the District.

Life Membership

The District Red Cross Society is running welfare activities for the needy and poor person of the society. The person who voluntarily intends to become a life member of the District Red Cross Society are provided life membership after taking a sum of Rs.1000/- as membership fee. During the year 2021-22, the District Red Cross Society has got becomes 145 life members and as on 31.03.200, Society has got become 499 Life Members.30% share of the fees is sent to the Indian Red Cross Society, Punjab State Branch, Chandigarh.

Jan Aushadhi Store

Indian Red Cross Society, District Branch, SAS Nagar is running 3 Jan Aushadhi Stores i.e. One at Civil Hospital, Phase-6, Mohali & Second at Civil Hospital, Kharar, Third at Civil Hospital, Kurali where the medicines are provided to the poor & needy patient at reasonable rates than the markets. The Jan Aushadhi Store at Civil Hospital, Phase-6, Mohali is started on 24.08.2012 which open 24x7 hours.

Sewing Machine Distribution

To help women who know sewing, cutting and tailoring Red Cross Society provides Sewing Machines.

Tricycle/Wheel Chair Distribution

To help physically handicapped, Red Cross Society provides Tricycles.

Distribution of Menstrual Awareness Books

1000 Menstrual Awareness Books alongwith 1 CD per 100 books containing audio visual resources for conducting menstrual awarenessfor the school going girls and boys (Class 8th to Class 12th) covers under the aims and objects of the Society were got printed & distributed in various school of District SAS Nagar & spent Rs. 99,900/-.
